Verona Shelters Group took part in a Finnish delegation’s visit to the Kuwait National Guard on 28 September 2026, represented by our Chief Technology Officer, Antti Nokka. As reported by Kuwait Times, the delegation was led by Jarno Syrjälä, Undersecretary of State for International Trade, and Juha Mustonen, Ambassador of Finland to Qatar.
The delegation was received by Maj. Gen. Riyadh Al-Tawari, the National Guard’s Assistant for Financial Affairs and Resource Management, and Brig. Gen. Abdullah Abdullah, Commander of Military and Security Affairs. The discussions focused on cooperation and the exchange of expertise in military and security fields, with an emphasis on strengthening readiness and technical capabilities.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Chemical Defence and Radiation Monitoring Centre. They were briefed on the centre’s role in monitoring radiation levels and hazardous materials, and on Kuwait’s measures for protection against chemical, biological and radiological threats, including detection and emergency response.
Protection against CBRN threats is at the core of what we do at Verona Shelters. We believe international cooperation and the sharing of specialised expertise are essential for building stronger and more resilient societies, and we look forward to continued cooperation in the region.
