Polimex Mostostal and Verona Shelters Launch Strategic Cooperation to Scale Civil Defense and Shelter Solutions Across Europe

Polimex Mostostal S.A. Signs Letter of Intent with Verona Shelters Group Oy to Advance International Cooperation in Critical Infrastructure Protection and Civil Defense Solutions

The collaboration focuses in particular on the markets of Poland, Ukraine, and Finland, with the aim of developing and delivering advanced protection solutions that ensure the continuity of essential societal functions, even under exceptional circumstances.

Verona Shelters Group brings strong expertise in protection technologies as well as Finland’s recognized leadership in civil defense. Due to specific regulatory requirements in Poland, solutions must be adapted to local legislation. The cooperation also leverages a dual-use approach, where solutions serve both civilian and security needs, enabling cost efficiency and creating opportunities to utilize maintenance and operations as part of a sustainable revenue model during peacetime.

The growing demand is addressed by increasing awareness, supporting the acceptance of solutions, and enabling professional comparison between different alternatives. A key role in this is played by Shelters Academy, which promotes competence development, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of best practices on an international level.

We are proud to see Finnish expertise being utilized more broadly in this context, and that Polimex has also entered into a partnership agreement with Rakennusbetoni- ja Elementti Oy.
